  • Jerrell W. Shelton

    Jerrell W. Shelton
    President and Chief Executive Officer, Cryoport, Inc.

    Jerrell Shelton has more than 40 years of executive and corporate governance experience across several industries including information services, software, telecommunications, manufacturing, natural resources, and distribution. He became a member of our board of directors in October 2012 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company in November 2012. He was appointed Chairman of the Board in October 2015. Previously, he was a visiting executive at IBM Research, where his team created and developed WebFountain, a project contributing significantly to IBM’s software strategy. He was also President and CEO of NDC Holdings, Continental Graphics Holdings, Thomson Business Information Group and Advantage Companies. Under his leadership, each of those companies achieved rapid revenue growth, improved profitability, and increased shareholder value. Mr. Shelton holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and a MBA from the Harvard Business School of Harvard University.

  • Robert S. Stefanovich

    Robert S. Stefanovich
    Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Cryoport, Inc.

    Robert Stefanovich has more than 30 years of experience in financial management and strategy, including more than 20 years as CFO in the specialty pharma, medical device and software industries. Previously, he has served as CFO of Novalar Pharmaceuticals, a venture-backed specialty pharmaceutical company. He also served as the CFO of three publicly traded companies including Xcorporeal, a medical device company, Artemis International Solutions Corporation, a software company, and Aethlon Medical, a medical device company. Previously, he was vice president of administration at SAIC, a Fortune 500 company. Mr. Stefanovich also served as a member of the Software Advisory Group and as audit manager with Price Waterhouse LLP’s (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) technology practice in San Jose, Calif., and Frankfurt, Germany. Mr. Stefanovich received his master’s degree in business administration and engineering from the University of Darmstadt in Germany.

  • Mark W. Sawicki, Ph.D.

    Mark W. Sawicki, Ph.D.
    Chief Scientific Officer, Cryoport, Inc.

    Mark Sawicki has over 20 years’ executive and sales management experience. And he has consistently delivered on corporate revenue and market share goals in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Sawicki was most recently the chief business officer at Alcami. He has also served in senior business development roles at AGC Biologics and Curia, increasing revenue at rates far outpacing industry standards. Sawicki holds a bachelor’s in biochemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He also has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. As well as this, he received graduate training at the Hauptman Woodard Medical Research Institute. Sawicki has authored more than a dozen scientific publications in drug discovery with a focus on oncology and immunology as well as dozens of publications in industry trade journals.

  • Thomas J. Heinzen

    Thomas J. Heinzen
    Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations, Cryoport, Inc.

    Thomas Heinzen has more than over 25 years of executive experience in the corporate, investment banking, and equity trading arena. Prior to joining Cryoport in 2015, Mr. Heinzen was the head of trading at Protective Group Securities and later a Senior Vice President at Emergent Financial Group. He currently serves as Chairman of the board for Spire Credit Union. Mr. Heinzen held series 4, 7, 55, 63 and 65 securities licenses, and has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota.

  • Tony J. Ippolito

    Tony J. Ippolito
    Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Cryoport, Inc.

    Tony Ippolito has more than 18 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities law and general corporate law.  Prior to joining Cryoport, he was a partner in the Corporate and Securities practice group at Snell & Wilmer, LLP. His practice focused on advising reporting companies in securities law matters and mergers and acquisitions, private placements, venture capital financings, owner buyouts and dispute resolution, and general contract negotiations. At Snell & Wilmer, he represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including technology, pharmaceutical and medical products, manufacturing, and retail.  Mr. Ippolito is also a former CPA and was a forensic accountant at FTI Consulting, Inc. Mr. Ippolito holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a JD degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, California.

  • Kylie A. Crowe

    Kylie A. Crowe
    Vice President, Global Human Resources & Organizational Development, Cryoport, Inc.

    Kylie Crowe has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, including more than 15 years as a global senior-level Human Resources executive in clinical research, medical devices, and healthcare industries.

    Prior to joining Cryoport, she was the Global HR Director at Covance Inc. where she was responsible for the human resources strategy, talent development and culture change that delivered business impact for the clinical trial, project management and quality organizations comprising 6,000 employees and spanning across 60 countries. Additionally, she held numerous leadership positions and worked in Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Australia. Ms. Crowe holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia and a MBA from Central Queensland University, Australia.

  • Ed Zecchini
    Sr. Vice President – Chief Digital & Technology Officer

    Ed Zecchini originally joined Cryoport, Inc.’s Board of Directors in September 2013. During that time, he has served as Chairman of the Compensation Committee, a member of the Audit Committee and a member of the Scientific and Technology Committee. Ed’s prior work experience includes being Managing Member of IT Analytics LLC, Chief Information Officer at Remedy Partners, Inc., and Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Sandata Technologies, LLC. He also held senior level positions at HealthMarkets, Inc., Thomson Healthcare and SportsTicker, Inc. Ed has over thirty years of experience in the information technology and healthcare industries. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Oswego.

  • Bret Bollinger
    Vice President & Chief Innovation Officer

    Bret Bollinger has an extensive background in domestic and international manufacturing environments and experience in new product design and implementation. Prior to joining Cryoport, Bollinger was Director of Operations and Engineering for Triangle Brass Manufacturing. Before that, he served as a business process consultant for Cardinal Health and as operations and order fulfillment manager for Ingersoll-Rand’s Falcon Lock Company. Bollinger holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Sacramento State University.
