Cryoport Dry Vapor Shippers Replace Dry Ice
The Cryoport solution can reduce the need for dry ice and Styrofoam with the use of dry vapor liquid nitrogen shippers that are validated to maintain -150 degrees Celsius temperature for 10+ days. This technology is based on liquid nitrogen, which is neither a hazardous nor a dangerous good.
The Dewars, or aluminum shippers, are made with recycled materials and used are cleaned and reused more than 100 times before recycling. While other companies may purchase re-usable containers along the entire supply chain, they may not get the full green and budget benefit because they lose that container in the field. Because our complete logistics solution includes shipment tracking, pre-labeling and scheduled pick-ups, Cryoport is also able to get shippers back to our depot for full re-use.
