Cryoport Systems Officially Opens New Global Supply Chain Center in Santa Ana, California
The 86,500-square-foot facility strengthens global logistics infrastructure and establishes a foundation for future growth
Cryoport Systems, a global leader in temperature-controlled supply chain solutions for the life sciences industry, today announced the official opening of its new Global Supply Chain Center (GSCC) in Santa Ana, California.
The 86,500-square-foot facility represents a significant investment in Cryoport Systems’ global infrastructure and marks the latest milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering integrated supply chain solutions for the world’s most critical therapies and life sciences programs.
The opening follows months of construction, system qualification, operational readiness activities, and cross-functional collaboration, transforming the facility from blueprint to fully operational logistics center.
“Today’s opening represents an important step forward in how we support our customers and scale for the future,” said Mark Sawicki CEO of Cryoport Systems. “The Santa Ana Global Supply Chain Center allows us to execute more efficiently while creating the foundation for future capabilities that will further enhance our global network.”
A Strategic Addition to a Growing Global Network
Situated in Southern California, the new GSCC is strategically positioned to support domestic and international supply chain operations through proximity to major transportation corridors, logistics infrastructure, and a highly skilled workforce.
The facility consolidates key operations into a centralized location designed to improve coordination and operational efficiency across the Cryoport Systems network.
The first phase of operations is focused on logistics execution for receiving and distribution, order processing and fulfillment, material flow management, regional and global shipment coordination, and supply chain operational support.
Built for Operational Excellence
While the facility itself represents a major physical investment, its successful launch is the result of significant work completed behind the scenes.
In preparation for opening, teams across Engineering, Facilities, Operations, Product, Quality, and IT successfully completed critical readiness milestones, including infrastructure commissioning, activation of specialized shipping systems, technology deployment, equipment qualification, regulatory approvals, and operational validation activities.
The result is a facility designed to support safe, efficient, and reliable execution from day one.
Designed for What’s Next
The Santa Ana GSCC was intentionally developed as more than a logistics facility. It serves as a platform for future growth and expanded capabilities across the Cryoport Systems portfolio.
Future development phases will ultimately bring together BioServices and biostorage, IntegriCell® cryopreservation services, consulting services, product development and administrative functions under one roof. Future expansion is already underway, supporting Cryoport Systems’ long-term strategy of delivering increasingly integrated supply chain solutions for the life sciences industry.
Enabling the Outcome™
The opening of the Santa Ana Global Supply Chain Center reflects Cryoport Systems’ continued investment in the infrastructure, expertise, and operational excellence required to support life sciences innovators around the world.
As therapies become more complex and supply chain requirements continue to evolve, the company remains focused on building solutions that support the secure management of critical materials, maintain quality, and help customers achieve successful outcomes for patients.
