International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy (ISCT) 2026

Let’s Connect

The 2026 Meeting of the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy (ISCT) brought together leaders from across the global CGT community at a time widely recognized as a defining period for the field. Rapid scientific progress, increasing clinical success, and continued commercialization have accelerated the pace at which therapies are reaching patients. At the same time, attention has continued to shift upstream, where early decisions around supply chain design and cellular starting materials are increasingly shaping long-term outcomes.

During this year’s meeting the IntegriCell® team from Cryoport Systems actively engaged in these conversations, contributing practical insight into the operational realities underlying scalable cell therapy manufacturing. Through multiple presentations and discussions, the team shared data-driven perspective on cryopreservation, process standardization, and the role of automation in improving consistency across the supply chain.

IntegriCell, Cryoport Systems’ integrated cryopreservation platform, is a purpose-built approach to supporting early-stage decisions that carry forward into clinical and commercial success. Engagements throughout ISCT reinforced the importance of embedding robustness and scalability upstream, as the industry continues to transition from innovation-led progress to execution-driven growth.

Poster Presentations from ISCT 2026

Poster Presentation
Ensuring Robustness and Scalability of Automated Cryopreservation for Leukapheresis Material to Support CGT Supply Chain

Automation and integrated analytics are increasingly essential to scalable and resilient cell and gene therapy (CGT) supply chains, where variability in starting material and manual, site-specific processes can compromise consistency, compliance and global deployability. The IntegriCell© Automated Closed Process (ACP) for cryopreservation was designed to standardize leukapheresis handling and leverage process data across sites.

Poster Presentation
Comparative Evaluation of Automated and Conventional Flow Cytometry Methods for Leukapheresis Characterization Upon Cryopreservation Process

Cryopreservation has opened the door to flexible, decentralized workflows, but lacks standardized methods for robust sample characterization. This poster compares performance of flow cytometry and automated platforms using cryopreserved leukapheresis. Combining these two automated processes simplifies and accelerates tech transfers and increases operational consistency under GMP-relevant conditions.

Poster Presentation
Robust Automated Leukapheresis Cryo-processing Enables High-quality Material for Both Autologous and Allogenic CAR T-cell Therapy Manufacturing

Due to the logistical challenges, selecting the appropriate starting material for apheresis, whether fresh or frozen, is crucial in cell therapy. Understanding these differences is vital for optimizing the manufacturing process and ensuring the highest quality and efficacy of CAR T-cell products. This poster explores how our Automated Closed Cryopreservation Process (ACP) preserves cell viability and phenotype post-thawing.

Thank you to those who engaged with us during ISCT 2026 in Dublin.

Our onsite team spanned technical operations, process development, quality, and commercial leadership. Throughout the event, team members participated in oral presentations, poster sessions, and global showcase programming, contributing to the dialogue around improving quality, consistency, and scalability of cellular starting materials.

Beyond formal sessions, the team spoke with many peers across the CGT ecosystem to exchange perspectives on the evolving challenges of commercialization and global supply chain readiness. These interactions created space for more grounded, experience-driven discussions about how early operational decisions influence downstream success.

Our sincere thanks to all of our colleagues, peers, and industry professionals who participated in ISCT 2026 and who share our ongoing commitment to advancing practical solutions that support the maturation of cell and gene therapies from early development through to broader patient access.
